Prototec

Today this morning I went on Prototec. Prototec was not hard because I knew these strategies of by heart. But  at the same time some of my  answer were wrong. But that is okay because I can try next time I come on Prototec again. Unless I did well. Here is a site for you to go on Prototec: Site

Tech/Sewing Class

This term for tech we were in sewing. How I made the tote bag? Firstly we had to practice how to run the machine and also how to fix it. Secondly we had to measure how long and wide our bags have to be. Thirdly we had to pick our material to make the bag. As we did that we had to cut up the material the size we have measured on our piece of cardboard.  After we measured our bag it was time for us to work on our handles. We had to cut up a long piece of fabric and then we had to line it with a ruler, Then we had to sew the end of the side together and leave one end of the handle open and the other end closed. After sewing the handle we had to put the stick through the handle on the opened end and try to make it inside out. After doing that we had to move on to our bag. We had to line the bag with the ruler, after we done that we sewed the sides of the bag. After finishing the handle and the bag Mrs Tuipulotu had to do the rest. We found this pretty difficult but we know in the future it will be worth it.

Fizzing and Foaming

WALT: determine whether a substance is an acidic, basic or neutral

So I mixed baking soda, red tomato sauce, ice sugar, dish washing liquid and juices in different cups. But first we had to boil the cabbage juice before we put our substances in.

What was the most Basic: The most basic in our experiments was dishwashing liquid because it was green. 

What was the most Acidic: the most basic in our experiment was orange juice.

What happened: It was all different colours depending on how Acidic, Neutral and Basic a substance was. So now we have learnt everything new about Acid, Neutral and even Bases… I hope we know all of them now.

Cybersmart:

WALT:explain how we can be safe on social media.

Today in  the middle session we did cybersmart. I learned that when it comes to social media it is dangerous. However I learned to think before you post.

A Persuasive Conversation

FORREST is the language features for Facts, Opinion, Rhetorical Question, Repetition, Emotive language, Statistics and Three (groups of)
Our task was to have persuasive conversation with a partner. In this  text boxs is Statistic, Emotive language. I found  this hard because I kind of don't understand what some of the language features mean.
